A boy died following an accidental drowning at a World Cup watch party in El Segundo, California. The child, identified as eight-year-old Taylor Thach, was found unresponsive at a residence during the gathering and was transported to a local hospital where he later passed away.

Police officials have stated that they suspect the death was caused by a poolside accident. Reports from The Sun indicate that Thach was a student in third grade at Center Street School.
