The goal resulted from an error by South Korean goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu. According to The Sun, the keeper failed to secure a deflected header approximately 12 yards from the goal, which allowed Romo to score. This victory confirms Mexico's progression into the knockout rounds of the tournament.
