The Sun and The Mirror report that the average British adult spends approximately £238 per year on skincare products. This equates to a monthly expenditure of roughly £19.87 for restocking items.

Despite these figures, many consumers express uncertainty regarding their purchases. The Sun reports that 30 percent of adults are not confident in their understanding of what different skincare products are intended for.

The Mirror highlights a demographic divide in spending habits within the sector. Its report indicates that millennial represent the highest level of expenditure on skin care, while Boomers spend the least amount annually.
