An investigation is underway into the access of patient records by dozens of NHS employees. Reports from The Mirror, The Sun, and the Daily Mail indicate that approximately 40 staff members accessed the medical files of a three-year-old boy who was treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
The child required urgent medical attention following an incident on Thursday at Johnsons of Old Hurst, located near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire. According to The Sun and Daily Mail, the boy was thrown into a pit containing saltwater crocodiles where he sustained injuries from a bite.
Medical reports indicate that the patient was in critical condition following the attack. The hospital has launched an investigation to determine why such a high number of staff members were able to access his personal medical information after the incident at the wildlife facility.
