Nothing plans to launch a more affordable smartphone, likely named the Nothing Phone (4b), in July. The move comes after reports that the company is adjusting its manufacturing strategy for lower-cost devices due to rising component prices.

According to 9to5Google, the manufacturer has decided to pause production of its CMF brand for the current year as a result of these increased costs. In response, the Nothing Phone (4b) will be positioned as a more accessible release to meet demand for entry level hardware.

Android Authority reports that recent teaser materials may have already signaled the existence of the new model. The upcoming device is expected to serve as an alternative within the brand's ecosystem following the decision to scale back on its secondary product line. By moving toward the Phone (4b) in the immediate term, the company aims to maintain a presence in the lower cost market while managing production expenses.
