Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained at Delhi airport for approximately 45 minutes following his arrival at 1:15 pm on Sunday. Reports from News18 and the Indian Express state that the Prime Minister stayed on-site specifically to ensure that students appearing for the NEET-UG re-examination faced no traffic disruptions during their commute.

The decision was intended to facilitate smooth passage for candidates traveling to exam centers in 551 cities and 14 international locations, according to the Times of India. By delaying his departure from the airport, the Prime Minister allowed for a more manageable flow of vehicles while students moved toward their respective testing sites.

Examination logistics

The NEET-UG re-examination was conducted at 5,440 centers. The Times of India reports that these venues were equipped with extensive surveillance and jammers to prevent malpractice. In Delhi specifically, authorities implemented heightened security measures and strict checks to manage the movement of students during the examination period.
