A United Airlines aircraft narrowly avoided colliding with a drone during its final approach to Newark Liberty International Airport on Friday, June 27. The incident occurred as the jet was preparing to land on the runway.
According to reporting from the NY Post, the drone was located approximately 100 feet below the airplane at the time of the encounter. Both the Independent and the NY Post confirmed that the unmanned craft entered the flight path during the aircraft's final maneuvers in Newark.
